| Description: |
A "jammer" is used to lift sawlogs onto a railway flatcar, to be transported to a sawmill. The "jammer" was two poles stood on end, and using a pulley device, it raised the logs and set them on top of a pile. Trains were used to ship sawlogs in the later days of pine logging. |
