| Description: |
Teams are taking the sawlogs to log dumps, where they commence the journey down river. Logs were felled in fall and early winter, and skidded and hauled in the winter when snow made it easy to drag the logs. The river drive commenced when the ice broke up in the spring, lasting as long as there was enough water in the waterways to keep the logs afloat. |
