Logging Operations

Parry Sound Lumber Company

Available Images: Full Size
Accession Number: AI78
Category: Lumbering; Logging Operations
Description: Logs pass from the upper to the lower part of the river by means of a chute, at centre, over the dam. Chutes allowed logs to pass through without any damage suffered. Below the dam, sawlogs are held for processing in booms, so that they don't float down river and on into Georgian Bay.
