| Description: | When the snow was deep enough to haul logs, roadways were built. A sled with a large water tank was drawn over the roads, spilling the water as it went. This created a hard-packed ice-road that horses, wearing special shoes, could travel over easily. Here the tank is being filled with water from a hole cut into the ice. |
