Available Images: Full Size
Accession Number: Mmh
Category: Nobel; Orenda Test Establishment
Description: The American military insisted the Arrows they purchased were outfitted with Iroquois engines, like the one seen here. Had the program not been scrapped, this particular engine was to be the next installed into an Arrow. The engines were designed to travel at a speed of up to Mach 2, the first engine ever capable of travelling at this speed. This photograph shows the engine's afterburner.
