| Description: | The plant opened in 1913, producing wood alcohol (now known as methanol). The burning of the wood also produced charcoal, acetate and acetone. Acetone was used in the production of cordite. Spur railways, like the one at centre, were built to allow both CNR and CPR access to the plants. |
