| Description: |
The factory at upper-centre, was incorporated in 1897. It produced veneer that was used to make light boards. These boards were used in rolling bolts of cloth. The cloth boards were exported to England. In 1912 some of the factory's buildings were destroyed by fire, but others survived and were used by various companies throughout the years. The stone building at centre survived the fire, and was knocked down in 1985. |
