Trestles

Building the CPR Bridge

Available Images: Full Size
Accession Number: KA4a
Category: Railway; Trestles
Description: The trestle was completed in 1907, and the first train passed over in 1908. The crane seen here on the tracks fell off one day. The Parry Sound Lumber Company's dressed wood is lining the shores of the Seguin, and logs to be processed are being kept from floating away by booms in the water. A log flume that carried logs over the lumber company's dam is at centre.
