| Description: |
The "Lackawanna" was another cargo ship that called at Parry Sound. Ships designed to travel on the Great Lakes were built longer than ships designed for ocean travel. Longer "lakers" would be snapped in half by the larger ocean waves. The "Lackawanna" was named after the shipping port Lackawanna, New York. |
