The "Emma" and the "Leafield"

Description: The "Emma" took people on excursions around Parry Sound. It burned and sank on July 4, 1912. The "Leafield" was a bulk freighter, taking railroad ties to Depot Harbour at the time this photograph was taken. It wrecked in Lake Superior on November 9, 1913. Called "Black Sunday," at least fifty ships sank in a raging storm that day.
