| Description: |
The "Midland City" was a steam ship that made regular trips from Midland and Penetanguishene to Parry Sound. The trip was six hours long. The ship was converted in later years to carry two cars. It is seen here navigating the South Channel near Parry Sound. In 1955, after eighty years of sailing Georgian Bay, the ship was dismantled, towed to the Wye river and burned. |
